Our intrepid Club Service group has set up a tour of KGET, Channel 17 for November 19.  

The station needs to know how many folks will be there.  Plus we need a count for food.  Please RSVP and let us know if you'll be attending.  

It's FALL Y'ALL! Time to roll up our sleeves and build some Thanksgiving baskets for families in North Bakersfield! Before, we talk about volunteering, let me first THANK each and every one of you who has donated to get us to the 350 basket goal! If you haven't already donated, reach out to Patrick. I believe the opportunity still exists to get us to our mark.

We will be compiling the boxes and distributing the meals all in the same day again this year.

Please see below for the schedule of events. 

6:45 AM - Meet at WinCo to load the box truck(s)  4200 Coffee Road (Jake Slayton only) 

8:00 AM - Meet at Standard Middle School Multipurpose Room to unload and pack the boxes.  1222 N. Chester Ave.. The Multipurpose Room parking lot is on N. Chester Avenue at the North-end of the campus. 

9:30 AM - Standard School District staff and volunteers with distribute meals via a drive-thru pick up.

Bring a guest!

Bring your gloves, a box cutter, a dolly if you have one, and wear comfortable ROTARY BRANDED clothing!

It's that time of the year again for the Past Presidents' Christmas Party. We are returning to Imbibe with David hosting us. Feel free to bring your own wine, but wine and pizza from Tommie's Pizza will be provided as well. Also remember to bring a present for Dirty Bingo.

We will be joining at Imbibe at 6PM on Wednesday, December 11th.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 2 opportunites to serve! 

You are invited to join members of Standard School District administation and Chevron volunteers for Cookie Decorating with Santa! This will take place Dec. 19 6-8pm at Standard Middle School in the Multipurpose Room. Wear Rotary branded clothing and/or festive accessories! 

Bakersfield North Rotary Foundation was awarded a grant by Chevron to provide Holiday Snack Packs to 100 children from Standard School District who may experience food insecurity during the holidays. The snack packs contain, a Christmas-themed book, various food items including Kraft Mac n Cheese, peanut butter, jelly, bread, oranges, granola bars, trail mix, etc., and one toy! WE NEED 4 VOLUNTEERS

But first, we must stuff the bags and wrap the gifts! The date to stuff the Holiday Snack Packs is Dec 18th, 3-5pm at the Standard School District Office located at 1200 N. Chester.  We NEED 5 VOLUNTEERS. If you plan to come, please let me know via email or text!
